I get so many fun emails asking me all sorts of questions and I wish I could get back to all of you, but this family of mine makes me get of my computer sometimes :)

So I though I would highlight some of the questions once a week.

I thought this was a great place to start because a huge handful of my emails are about my lipstick. Every time I appear on Studio 5 I get a slew of email about lipstick :)

This is also perfect timing because this week, Im hosting a favorite things party where my and a few of my girlfriends exchange our favorite things. . . . So I will post those also. . after the party :) Now I have so many makeup pics I love like foundations, lip glosses, brushes But these are the MUST HAVES!

Model in a bottle

First lets start with something that has been with me for years. In 2005 this was featured on oprah. I order my first bottle then,  and I have loved it ever sense! You just spray this on after your makeup is done and it sets it!

 

another product that  keeps your makeup in place.  . .

Paint pot in painterly by mac. This keeps your eye makeup on, and boy does it work! I love it because it goes on so creamy!

Jet set Waterproof eyeliner in Bronze by smashbox. LOVE this! Its gel based and you use a angle brush to apply. It goes on so smooth and does not smudge! It comes in a lot of great colors. 

High beam by benefit This is the best highlighter. It gives you a yummy glow. I use it on my cheek bones. mmm

Lipstick- For me Lipstick is my christmas. I love it! No makeup is more exciting. These are my top 3 combos all by mac

Now I have a hard time going to makeup counters and trusting what the girl says. BUT I have a gal for you! AMY is her name and she works at the Layton mall mac counter. Go to her, she is amazing!!!

 Also I need a great bronzer, any suggestions? 

Girls weekend and Beehive Bazaar

I had a wonderful weekend! It started off with dinner at La Jolla Groves. Anyone who serves me diet coke like that deserves a star :) 

*I am so lucky to not only have the most beautiful friends ever, but they are also so kind, loving and would do anything for me. . . and often do!

The lights were so so beautiful at the shops at Riverwoods! Then off to Beehive Bazaar for some wild shopping. Seriously have you been on opening night? It is insane. As in . . . so many people you cant move, completely hot everyone is sweating, then you wait in line for a hour or so to pay. And thats why I go opening night every year ;) Because with all the hotness, its a blast! Plus I got to meet lots of you :)

About that pillow in my hand. Im obsessed. It deserves it's own post. . . 

Oh ya- then after this night I got influenza. . . . and have been in bed for 4 days.  Not cool

I get to work with Darin on studio 5. Now if you watch the show you know what a fun, goofball he is :) Lets just say his family is a great reflection of those fun same qualities. I laughed the whole shoot! It did not feel like work at all!

Did we take some "normal photos" sure. . . those just aren't as fun to post ;)

Love me some Thanksgiving!

No! This weekend can't end.  Thanksgiving was wonderful! I loved having all the special people I love so much at my home to celebrate. While I forgot to get all those great close up shots of decor, party favors, fabulous food, and the tablescapes I did get just the perfect mood shots :) My family is full of it! I died laughing looking through these. Apparently I can not sneak a photo without someone pretty much everyone pulling a face :)

After so much food, we were all in that "way to full daze" and cuddled up for some elf, and naps!

this week's happenings

This week this wall got a big, bold makeover! (this is obviously the before photo)  

We made yummy homemade applesauce with grandma Shelley. 

  It has/will be been a awesome week! 

Christmas goes up today (yahoo!)

 Im hosting Thanksgiving tomorrow, so excited!

I had a Blast on this shoot! This family is full of personality and a sassy mom ;) She even went above and got me a darling bribe (she remembered I had mentioned I fully except bribes on here before) 

The boys are into bmx and skateboards which made the shoot totally fun, so, Bree. . . can we be friends?

Yummy recipe!

Yesterday on the show I got to do a little cooking segment  about my favorite holiday appetizer. The kitchen was a fun change and Brooke and Darrin always make it a blast! 

Now go make this dip. It is so yum!

Ingredients:
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. cream cheese
16 oz. cheddar cheese, grated (sharp or mild)
4 oz. chopped green chilies
Green onion (suit your own taste)
1 c. chopped ham
1/2 pound chopped bacon
1 round bread loaf, hollowed out

Method:
Mix first seven ingredients together and put into the hollowed out bread loaf. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for one hour. Serve with leftover bread or chips

last minute panic mini sessions:)

Ok all you panicking moms that are stressing for Christmas card photos. Im here for ya-  I thought this last round was the last. But I really want to fit everyone in so Im opening up this Saturday for some more.

 So- This saturday the 13th. You get a 25 minute session with a 10 image high res copyright cd for $200. Ill put up a proofing gallery for you and you pick your 10 favorite images. Then you can always add more for $5 a image.  And if you want to order christmas cards I'm happy to design you some!

I Love to see. . .

 I have had several requests about buying this print of the beautiful Salt Lake City temple. It's really been humbling, so thank you! This photo was taken for KSL's new show Mormon Times which airs on Sunday mornings at 10:00. I tried so many angles and I wasn't dying over any of the shots. At then end it all fell into place, and was such a neat experience. The sun started shining though and it felt much more magical, just as it should be. So Im making this print available for purchase.  I will print it on a beautiful metallic

 paper and send out!

An old friend

Meet Tyke. This guy was my best friend starting in 7th grade. He does not have a mean bone in his body and is the most caring guy around. Not to mention he is totally funny, and super laid back! We had so much fun and were dorks everyday after school. I liked his best friend and he liked mine, He gave me a dog which we still have (she is getting so old!) then he moved away for highschool- rude. Im just grateful we stayed in touch and he married such a darling, sweet girl Megan.

It was so fun to catch up and get to know his little guys! Theses kids are soooo cute and they couldn't have been better for photos!
